EVENTSA Taste of Devon Cookery21 JanOccombe FarmDevon has some great produce and a long culinary tradition inspired by both its varied landscape and its role as a trading centre, with influences from around the world. This course will highlight both the great produce and these influences. We will make some simple dishes such as smoked Brixham mackerel pate and Beenleigh Blue cheese & leek tart, which focus on the ingredients, as well as traditional dishes such as Squab Pie (made with lamb or mutton), Exeter pudding (a rich 'trifle-like' pudding especially created for a 19th century royal visit to Exeter), and Devon Apple Dappy.
