EVENTSGeopark Festival - RADICAL OPENNESS: In Conversation event29 MayOnline -Online: Thursday 29th May 2025 1:00PM (FREE) RADICAL OPENNESS: In Conversation (online event)
Part of TAAHM creative Geopark linked project exploring cave ecosystems in the UK and Thailand supported by the British Council.
Join artists, educators and scientists in conversation about how being in an open state of not knowing and enquiry opens us to new insights and perspectives. Panelists from different perspectives, brought together from the UK and Thailand through a collaborative arts project, discuss how radical openness can support us to navigate these uncertain times, be resilient and work with natural flows rather than against them. TAAHM is a collaborative exchange and creation project, supporting artists in Thailand and the UK to experiment, take risks and produce new work. Co-produced by Filament and CAC Chiang Mai Art Conversation with funding from the British Council’s International Collaboration Grants programme. The project takes inspiration from fungi found in karst caves to explore themes of mycelium connection. The two localities are connected, both with globally significant cave systems: in Thailand, Satun UNESCO Global Geopark with Le Stegodon and Phu Pha Phet caves; in the UK, the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark together with Kent's Cavern and Neale’s Cave (Wild Planet Trust). Working with wider conservation partners roots the work in the wider ecology of place as well as practically helping with collecting sounds from the karst caves and reachin Radical Openness at Online event tickets from TicketSource
