Heritage Open Day - Torquay Museum

As part of Heritage Open days Festival Torquay Museum are opening our doors for free on Saturday 21st September from 10-4.

Discover surprises around every corner and take part in free guided tours and craft activities.

Step back in time to discover how the first humans survived in our UNESCO Geopark 500,000 years ago and come face- to face with the animals which roamed the area including Hyenas, Cave Bears and Woolly Rhinos.

Create cave art and Stone Age clay pots using natural pigments, handle animal and human skulls and listen to stories around our "campfire".

This event is suitable for all the family and free for all our visitors - all we ask in return is that you spread the word about our fantastic Museum and amazing collections.
