Your Geopark

Please remember the geology and biodiversity of the Geopark is very special and vulnerable… and of course whilst out and about enjoying the Geopark please remember to stay safe!

• Please do not hammer or dig at any site without permission

• Please do not remove any fossils, rocks or minerals which are still embedded

• Please follow the Countryside Code

• Check the tide timetables before you go out; keep an eye on the incoming tide as it is easy to get trapped, especially round the headlands

• Stay away from the cliffs — rock falls can happen at any time — and keep away from cliff edges

• Watch out for large waves in rough weather

• Plan your Geopark exploration to suit your fitness level; wear sensible shoes and be prepared for any weather

• Always tell someone where you are going and how long you expect to be gone

• For their safety ensure your children and dogs are under control

• If visiting by boat or taking to the water, the English Riviera Harbour Guide will provide you with all the relevant information and safety advice
