Branding
Through the Geopark partnership scheme local partner businesses, attractions, charities and CIC's are encouraged to show their connection with the Geopark via the use of certain Geopark logos, visual statements, branding and strapline etc. as detailed in the Geopark Partner Brand Guidelines.

The official UNESCO Global Geopark temple logo is the official logo for the UNESCO Programme. The use of this logo is strictly administered and overseen in this country by UNESCO UK. The use of the official programme logo is restricted to the work of the central Geopark team and following approval, for Core Partners under certain exceptions.
With prior approval and provided certain criteria are met the Geopark can approve the use of the the official UNESCO temple logo and Joint project logo by partners. This enables the recognition of core partner key sites and joint Geopark activities projects between the Geopark and its partners. It must be clear that the approved use of the logos in this way recognises that the partners are collaborating directly 'with' the Geopark on common projects, activities and engagement with the Geopark but that the individual entities are not recognised by UNESCO in thier own right. The UNESCO Global Geopark 'temple' logo may not be used without prior permission. This approach enables the work and contribution of the partners towards the retention of the designation to be recognised.
The Geopark partner brand guidelines have been carefully written to ensure that the Geopark adheres to all branding requirements of UNESCO and UNESCO UK. Partner adherence to the guidelines is of particular importance due to to the English Riviera Geopark's local partnership approach to the retention of the designation.
Use of the Geopark logos
The Geopark has a local logo, official UNESCO programme logos and the Global Geopark Network logo, all of which are officially trademarked.
Partners can find full details on how to use these logos appropriately within the Geopark Brand Guidelines, where full instructions are provided. Please note that permission must be granted for some uses.
There are also opportunities for non-partner organisations to apply to use the Geopark logo or logos for appropriate projects and activities. Use by non-partners must, however, be approved.
To request logo use or brand approval, contact the Geopark Coordinator: m.border@englishrivierageopark.org.uk.
Partner agreements
Every Core and Associate Partner signs an agreement with the Geopark. The two agreements differ slightly, but all partners commit to:
Supporting the Geopark’s activities and its vision for the English Riviera and its communities
Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Complying with the Geopark’s policies, including the Environmental Policy and Marine User Policy
Using the Geopark’s trademarked logos only as licensed, and not retailing original geological material
