Education

Begin your learning journey into the world beneath your feet.

Children are naturally curious and we encourage them to dig deeper into the fascinating world that lies beneath their feet. Through cross-curricular activities and workshops, we help local primary school children develop an understanding of the geological history on their doorstep. Visiting schoolchildren are able to see and think about different environments and their importance in shaping how we feel about the earth today.

Primary

For primary school and equivalent learners, you can create cross-curricular sessions that focus on skills and enquiry-based learning — encouraging children to work in teams, solve problems and express ideas through the Geopark’s landscapes, wildlife and heritage.

Use the resources on the bar to the right and engage with our partners to tailor workshops and experiences to the needs of your learners.
