The Board of the ERGCIC

The Board of the ERGCIC is accountable for the stewarding of the UNESCO Global Geopark designation, coordinating delivery across partners, ensuring the Geopark generates measurable benefit for Torbay’s communities, environment, educators and visitors, and for the operations and statutory obligations of the ERGCIC.

Geopark Management Group (GMG)

The Geopark Management Group is responsible for the strategic planning for, and delivery of, Geopark impact. Constituted by the 10 Geopark Core Partners, the GMG:

  • Oversees delivery of annual priorities within each impact area

  • Reviews progress against the Impact Framework and data requirements

  • Shares updates, risks and opportunities across the network

  • Coordinates joint projects and funding bids

  • Identifies system-level challenges and proposes solutions

  • Supports UNESCO readiness (branding, visibility, documentation, geosite quality)

  • Advises the Board on partnership issues and opportunities
